Rotherham United have reportedly had a bid for Jamie Lindsay of Ross County turned down.

The twenty-three year old midfielder spent his youth career with Celtic and while at Celtic Park had loan spells with Dumbarton, Greenock Morton and Ross County where he signed a permanent deal in the summer of 2018.

Jamie made forty-eight appearances for the Scottish Championship side last season and helped them get promotion as Champions to the Premiership by scoring nine goals.

Having had a first offer rejected the Millers are expected to go in with a second bid for Jamie who is in his in the last year of his contract at Victoria Park.

Millers Manager Paul Warne has already entered into the transfer window by fetching in striker Carlton Morris on loan from Norwich City and midfielder Shaun MacDonald on a two year deal from Wigan Athletic while midfielder Joe Newell has left the New York Stadium to go North of the Border to Hibernian.
